Short clamping stud - PEANUT®

The PEANUT® 2 short is an invisible connector that represents the most versatile attachment in the Peanut® range. Its short dowel combined with a 3.5 mm screw makes it possible to create perfect connections of 45°, 90°, face to face, and end to end. Once inserted, all panels made with PEANUT® components can be packed flat and, depending on the tightness of the joint, assembled without tools.

The short PEANUT®2 is made of reinforced plastic. It has a short, smooth studded end for easy insertion. A hole along the length of the component allows the use of a 3.5mm screw, to create a very strong core and gripping strength that secures the component to the panel.

By adjusting the tightness of the screws, the joint can be made more or less tight, giving joiners and cabinet makers the ability to achieve a perfect joint even after many joints. The short PEANUT® 2 is designed with a shoulder to prevent over-insertion, and its calibration is perfectly suited to ensure a tight seal in all situations.

The design of the PEANUT® head provides maximum ease of assembly and optimum joint strength. Thanks to its domed shape, the PEANUT® head glides smoothly along the groove created by the T-shaped PEANUT® knife.
Once assembled, the PEANUT® head moves over the PEANUT® groove and slides to the end, creating, in this action, a powerful clamping force that pulls the two panels together from the inside.
