RESINOPOXY+ is a two-component transparent epoxy resin. RESINOPOXY+ is formulated specifically to make in-thickness castings and encapsulations of objects up to two inches. It offers a very beautiful transparency without a yellowish tint. With a 100% solids content, it contains no solvents and releases no VOCs. RESINOPOXY+ contains an additive that protects it from UV rays. It has a low odor and can therefore be used indoors without ventilation.

  • Clear epoxy system ideal for molding river tables or for small encapsulations;
  • Contains 100% solids;
  • VOC-free;
  • Solvent-free;
  • Very malleable and easy to work with;
  • Low odor;
  • Thickness up to 2'';
  • Perfect spreading;
  • Beautiful non-yellowing transparency.

PREPARATION :

The mold must not contain any cracks and must be made of non-porous materials.

If you use wood with bark, be sure to clean it well. You can protect the surface of the mold with insulation tape such as "TUCK TAPE". The joints can also be sealed with a sealant.

Place the surface to be coated in the mould. A wax, such as carbamex wax, can be used to facilitate demolding.

BLEND :

  1. Prepare the quantity of product necessary only, because once mixed, the product does not keep. Use clean equipment to avoid contaminating the product.
  2. Important to calculate the mixture by volume (mL) and not by weight.
  3. To mix together slowly and carefully to avoid creating too many air bubbles in the product.
  4. Mix Part A and Part B individually on low speed.
  5. Mix Part A and Part B together in a very clean container.
  6. Use a mixer at the end of a drill at low speed for a minimum of 3 minutes (300 to 450 rpm).
  7. Thoroughly scrape the sides to the bottom of the container to obtain an even mixture.

APPLICATION :

Work at temperatures between 20° to 22°C and a humidity level below 65%.

Pour the resin slowly so as not to make bubbles. It will expand and level itself (so your mold should be level).

Trick : Slightly heated resin before pouring will avoid air bubbles; you can soak your container with the mixed resin in hot water.

Cast a thickness maximum of 2 inches per coat (50.8mm).

For a thicker casting, pour the other layers after 36 to 48 hours when the first layer is still flexible, but the resin does not stick to your fingers.

On very porous surfaces (plaster, bark, cork, wood); brush on a coat of RESINOPOXY+ or Crystalopoxy to seal the surface and thus prevent the formation of air bubbles.

Apply the rest of the resin immediately.

FINISHING :

After your leveling sanding, if you want a high gloss finish, apply two coats of our Crystalopoxy . Otherwise, for a satin finish you can finish with an oil, a wax or an ultra-adherent two-component varnish such as the whitecoat renovation varnish .

POLISHING:

There RESINOPOXY+ can be polished. Start polishing with a 400 grit abrasive; then go to 800 grit and finish with 1200 grit, and so on up to 4000 depending on the desired luster.

TOOL CLEANING:
Clean your tools, containers and any unhardened liquid with Evo Denatured Alcohol or Evo Citrus Solvent.

DISPOSAL AFTER USE:
Excess liquid from Parts A and B must be mixed to allow curing and disposal in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.

LIFETIME :
The shelf life of RESINOPOXY+ is 10 to 12 months in its original container. Keep containers A & B in their boxes before use.
If the product appears gelatinous, it has been cold. Please place the containers in hot water for about 1 hour; it will return to its original state. The product will not lose any property.

IMPORTANT :
FEAR FROST.

ATTENTION :
Never pour more than 30 liters of RÉSINOPOXY+ at a time. To make another pour, you have to wait until the product is dry (36 to 48 hours).
Store containers away from UV rays.
