Domino tenon
Festool beech tenons are made from natural hardwood to be strong and stable. They are used as floating tenons in mortise and tenon applications used in the manufacture of furniture, cabinets, casings and frames. Their flat and elongated shape prevents rotation, thus ensuring perfect alignment of the two edges and the faces to be bonded. These tenons are suitable for plywood and hardwood, and due to their density they will not expand and remain invisible through the material, leaving a clean, smooth and even surface. The tenons are embossed to form dimples that hold the glue and they are about 2 mm (5/64 in.) shorter than their nominal length, leaving enough room in the mortise for the glue.
