The opal lens has been specially selected to provide a good level of light and to illuminate cabinets without the effect of light spots. It is clear that the higher the density of the lens, the less light can filter through. For example, a clear lens will provide 96.5% translucency with only 20% diffusion (“clear” here meaning the lens is clean and the sliver of light is visible). For its part, the opal lens offers 65% translucency with 100% diffusion.
The efficiency of the opal lens is 50% of the originally emitted light source.
